Scottish Planning - Electricity Act Reforms.

On the 28th October, Scottish and UK governments launched consultation on proposed changes to the Electricity Act, which aims to streamline and speed up the approval process for large energy projects in Scotland.  The consultation closes on the 29th November.

See our PDF guide for an in-depth look at these changes and if you have any questions, please get in touch

Planning Submission

We have submitted a planning application for a long-standing client, for a new hotel in Morningside at the former post office building.  The hotel development will also include a bar, restaurant and bakery and will bring a much needed vibrancy to the few remaining redundant brownfield sites in Edinburgh’s south side.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

With our appeal looming and no idea of where to turn to make this possible – we were advised to contact ‘Ferguson Planning’ to help in assisting and turning round our objections. Tim visited straight away and reassured our case had a strong argument for being put through. After Tim’s initial visit he kept in touch on a regular basis and advised us on how to address certain issues to strengthen our case. If we had questions Ferguson Planning was always there either via email or phone. Tim also attended our appeal hearing which was great and that he showed dedication to his clients from start to finish. The outcome was a yes and we are now moving forward with our plans. Without a doubt we will be seeking Tim and Ferguson Planning for phase two in the next year or so!
