The Wellnage

The Wellnage is a ‘B Listed’ property built by George Peat a writer in Duns in the early 19th Century. Subsequent additions were made throughout the 19th Century. The house itself is set within significant grounds to the south side of Duns and accessed from Station Road. It is predominantly surrounded by residential dwellings of varying forms, ages and stature. Ferguson Planning were charged with over seeing planning and listed building applications with regard to the sensitive converstion of the ‘Main House’ into two properties together with the restoration of the gate Cottage.
